Lisay Construction is currently making steady progress on a flood control project in Paniqui, Tarlac, after being subcontracted by 1116 Development Corporation, a Pampanga-based developer.
The project, which began in early 2025, focuses on mitigating flood risks in the area through slope protection, steel reinforcement, and canal improvement works designed to handle excess water during peak rainy seasons.
Fieldwork is well underway. Teams are working on steel bar placements, excavation, and the preparation of reinforced concrete formworks along the canal. These interventions are crucial in strengthening the waterway infrastructure to reduce soil erosion and minimize flooding in nearby residential and agricultural areas.
This isn’t the first major project Lisay Construction has been entrusted with. In 2024, the firm was subcontracted by the same developer for various outfit and improvement works at UP Diliman, demonstrating its ability to deliver quality construction across a range of settings—from academic institutions to disaster-resilient infrastructure.
The successful completion of those projects paved the way for bigger responsibilities in regional infrastructure development.
“We don’t just build for the sake of completing a project. We build knowing that what we’re doing out there has a direct impact on people’s lives. That’s what keeps us grounded and motivated,” said Camilo Lisay, General Manager of Lisay Construction.
“We’ve been receiving project invitations elsewhere, and while we’re always open to partnerships, this opportunity from 1116 Development Corporation is one we are particularly eager to focus on. It’s rare to work with a company that not only trusts your capabilities but also allows you to grow alongside them. For now, our full attention is on delivering this project right.”
Lisay Construction is proud of the growing trust it has built with its clients and partners over the years. The company remains committed to completing every project with integrity, quality, and care. With the flood control works in Paniqui moving along as planned, Lisay Construction looks forward to contributing to safer and more resilient communities in Central Luzon.
